Firmware releases
How NeraTex devices stay up to date, and the releases they can install.
Current releases
| Product | Channel | Version | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| NeraTex Controller | stable | 0.9.1 | Check for Updates now works in Settings. First update over Wi-Fi. |
How updates work
- A NeraTex device checks for a newer release of its own firmware on its update channel.
- Two channels: stable for everyday use and beta for early testing.
- Every release has its own file name and is never changed afterwards, and the device checks the file's size and SHA-256 checksum before it installs anything.
Update API
Devices ask https://neratex.net/device/firmware/manifest?model=<model>&channel=stable
(or beta). The answer is a small JSON document with the version, the download URL, the size, the
SHA-256 checksum, the oldest version that may update to it, and short release notes. If there is no release for
that device and channel, the answer is HTTP 404.
